Conservative Ideals intents to identify clearly the functions of government per the U. S. Constitution, promote patriotism, limited government, individual freedoms, the defense of the Constitution, and identify those who in our opinion constitute the fifth column within our Nation, those who want to fundamentally change our Nation into a socialist state. Someone, somewhere, at any given time is always calling Conservative Ideals "unrealistic", “outdated”, and “dead”.  I have heard those words many times before. The bottom line is that not too many people can articulate what conservative ideals are; even less can explain why they are important. It is the purpose of this website to become a readily available, and free, resource for the average American to use in order to understand what conservative ideals are, and why they are vital to the survival of America, our Nation.

What is Democracy, how should our Nation be governed?

In a little under two minutes, President Abraham Lincoln summarized what our Government should be, and what it shall strive to achieve: "It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us. . .that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion. . . that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain. . . that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom. . . and that government of the people. . .by the people. . .for the people. . . shall not perish from the earth."  (http://www.gettysburg.com/bog/address.htm)

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, as represented by the Soldier; our Nation was founded on Judeo Christian Values; we support our Constitution.

America was founded on basic principles. We, at Conservative Ideals, believe the following:

 

1. We believe in God. All our founding fathers believed in Him, so do we.

 

2. We believe that America is good. We are not perfect, but when we put our faith in God, we are a force for good in the world.

 

3. Honesty. We try to live our lives honestly, and as such, we expect our leaders to be honest.

 

4. The family is the most important part of our society. Thomas Jefferson said: “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.”

 

5. We are a Nation of laws. “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson

 

6. "...all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..." U.S. Constitution (Notice that it does not state that everyone will have the same amount of success...)

 

7. We believe in Charity, however, “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity..." George Washington

 

8. We are Patriots, we fight for our Nation, we defend the Constitution; as such, we are entitled to disagree with the Govenrment, and our opinion is to be respected.

 

9. Thomas Jefferson considered the people to be the source of authority for the government. As such, government works for us, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
