The Frankfurt School of Critical Thinking...

During the first part of the 20th century, communists intellectuals came to the United States and influenced the philosophy of academia. Some of them became college professors and started the indoctrination process. In the 60's their teachings influenced the naive thought process of the likes of William Ayres, Bernardine Dohrn, Hillary Clinton, Carl Davidson, Mark Rudd, etc.

In Europe, the Frankfurt School of Critical Thinking "was set up by a group of Marxist intellectuals in Germany in 1923, affiliated to the University of Frankfurt and independently of the Communist Party, which has been influential in the development of Marxist theory ever since." It's name, "Institut fur Socialforschung" let us know that it was intended as an institute of social behavior. In 1971, Felix Weil, wrote: “I wanted the Institute to become known, and perhaps famous, due to its contributions to Marxism as a scientific discipline…” Marxist.org states that when Hitler came to power, the Institute was relocated to New York.

The Institute members philosophy quickly became the foundation of the Progressive movement in the United States. Take, for example,Martin Jay, he wrote in his book "A History of the Frankfurt School and the Institute for Social Research, 1932 - 1950" (University of California Press, Berkeley, CA, 1973 – new edition in 1996). “the Institut came to feel that the culture industry enslaved men in far more subtle and effective ways than the crude methods of domination practiced in earlier eras.”  Think about the way Hollywood, and Gangster Rap enslaves the minds of our children.

Their belief that religion and even Greek philosophy contributes to the regresion of society, explains why the progressives enjoy thrashing Christianity in all it's forms and have so far, being successful on removing God from schools and government. Karl Marx's premiss that "religion is the opium of the masses..." is alive and well.

Herbert Marcuse wrote a book in which he expands in the philosophies of represion "Eros and Civilization"; delay gratification versus immediate gratification, discipline versus freedom, etc. This treatise, is one of the most influential books in the history of the United States, since it could be said that it opened the doors to free love, and the allow the flower generation to go on doing what felt good. That flower generation that was in school on those days, remains there to these days, this time as teachers, influencing our young. By opening the doors to the idea that "if it feels good, go ahead and do it" Marcuse, it is being said, was more effective at destroying the western civilization than any of his contemporaries.

In "The authoritarian Personality", Theodor Adorno presents that idea that In brief, the authoritarian is predisposed to follow the dictates of a strong leader and traditional, conventional values. Alfred Adler links the authoritarian personality to a neurotic trait.  Thus, associating values driven society with neurotic and mentally disturbed personalities.

In "Escape from Freedom", by Erich Fromm, he said that unless you adopt a "happy" attitude and master society (or become a socialist), you are destined to embrace facism.

It is not surprising that these books were published in Berkely, Ca and Columbia University.
